Prisoner was interrogated about his activities since March 1938. Detailed reports concerning his moves since that date have been handed over to the Austrian Police in INNSBRUCK. Prisoner was asked to give a detailed account of his whereabouts and Nazi-activities in November 1938 as information from other prisoners stated, that prisoner had taken part in Nazi-activities committed against the Jews in Novembar 1938.
During six hours of intense and continuous interrogatin prisoner maintained that not only had he himself not taken any part in such atrocities, but he did not even know anything about them, neither had he heard about any such incidents. The lo mentioned to prisoner that all these atrocities had been committed by SS-personnel. To this point prisoner reacted very strangely by stating that althogh he had held the rank of SS-Obersturmführer since March 38 he showed no interest anymore in anything connected with SS in INNSBRUCK.
Prisoner was kept underr continous heavy pressure and eventuaily broke completely, giving all the details of how he himself with another two of his SS-comrades had murdered Oberbaurat Ing, Richard BERGER during the night November ) th.1938. Attached you will find the copied confession written in the prisoner's own handwriting signed by himself and two witnesses.
